Waller High Schoolhouse performs 'Aladdin The Musical'

Waller High School Box of Stars Theatre presented the dual language version of Disney's "Aladdin the Musical".

The show performers were students involved in organizations such as theatre, trip the light fantastic, and choir, with a variety of English speakers, Spanish speakers, bilingual students, and several first-time performers. The director's goal was to bring together performers and an audience of students and community members from all populations. Waller ISD simple students got a sneak peek performance when they visited the schoolhouse auditorium earlier in the week before the show opened to the public.

Performing in Aladdin the Musical were The Royal Translators: Coral Castillo, Perla Castillo, Tanner Holley, Dennis Lopez, Brandi Poyer, and Heather Snow; As Aladdin: Cody Hoeppner; Abu the Monkey: Steffany Valasquez; Iago the Parrot: Tyler Salary; Jafar the One thousand Vizier: Edward Barbosa; Sultan: Isaias Santana; Jazmin: Maria Aponte; Rajah the Tiger: Kaylon White; Razu, Captain of the Guards: Alejandro Avila; The Purple Guards: Dennis Smith and Tyrone Walker; El Principe Baba de Ganoush: Kourtney Hudson; El Principe Dahdu Rahn-Rahn: Christian Daigle; The Prince formerly known equally the Artist: Jordan Hamilton; Genie: Kourtney Hudson; The Magic Carpet: Kristi Hansen.
